Time

Our life is a one-way journey, just like driving on the highway. Along the way, we occasionally stop and take a break, but the memories of those rest stops fade with the miles we inevitably pass, just as our memories of the past are distorted and blurred by the present.
Selfies seemingly offer us salvation, and their existence on our phones (or in some cloud) gives us only the illusion of stopping time and preserving segments of our lives for future generations, until they get lost in the depth of our phones or some other lifeless electronic devices. All of this, in reality, like any digital illusion, has very little to do with reality.
That's why I started a long-term project under the working title “Time.” I photograph families, couples, or individuals at relatively regular intervals (once a year) in their current living environment – their apartment, house, or workplace.
